Endodontics is the specialty of treating the inside of the tooth — the pulp, nerves and root canals. Our Endodontics department is led by Dr Simranjeet Kaur, a gold medallist and post-graduate with over 14 years of experience and multiple national and international publications. Using magnification, rotary instrumentation and apex locators, we complete most root canals in a single sitting — comfortably, predictably, and with minimal discomfort.
Root canals have complex anatomy — curved canals, extra branches, hidden infections. Microendodontics uses high-power magnification and enhanced lighting to see and treat what the naked eye misses, resulting in cleaner, more complete treatment and a much lower chance of re-infection. This is our standard approach, not an upgrade.
When a previous root canal fails — persistent pain, reinfection, incomplete cleaning — retreatment is often the best way to save the tooth instead of extracting it. We remove the old filling material, disinfect the canal system thoroughly, and reseal the tooth, usually in a single extended visit. Many patients who were told they needed an extraction leave with their natural tooth intact.
